There is no school today, Tuesday, January 16, in Manchester School District due to the winter storm. All afterschool and evening activities, including athletics, are canceled.

Reminder: Elementary schools only will be dismissed early on Friday at 11:15 am. All other schools will follow the normal dismissal schedule. All schools will then be closed from December 25-January 1 for the holiday break. Students will return to class on Tuesday, January 2.

Reminder: There is no school in Manchester School District this Friday, November 10, for the Veterans' Day holiday. Students will return to class on Monday, November 13.

Reminder: There is no school on Tuesday, November 7, for Election Day in the city of Manchester. Students will return to school on Wednesday, November 8. Please note: There is no school on Friday, November 10 for the Veterans' Day holiday.

Reminder: Elementary schools ONLY will dismiss students early this Friday at 11:15 am for parent-teacher conferences. Due to the early dismissal, there is no pre-kindergarten on Friday. Middle and high schools will follow the usual school day schedule on Friday.

This week, Manchester School District announced we will launch our first dual-language immersion program in the fall of 2024. The Spanish-English program will start at the elementary level, with two classes of kindergarten students, and it will be open to students from across the city. We'll be hosting a pair of informational sessions on the program – one in Spanish (at 4:30 pm) and one in English (at 5:30 pm) – next Wednesday, October 4, at Memorial High School. The Board of School Committee meeting schedule for the week of August 28 through September 1: Monday, August 28 5:30 pm: Special Board of School Committee. Join us at National Night Out this Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Beech Street School/JFK Coliseum. Look for the Manchester School District table to learn more about our job opportunities, and get info on the importance of good attendance. There will be lots of free entertainment, activities (including the Bookmobile!) and plenty of helpful information for families – we hope to see you there!

🔅 Summer Learning Spotlight: Manchester School District's summer learning programs are now in full gear, so over the next week, we'll be highlighting these awesome programs. New this year, Blast Off to Kindergarten offers incoming kindergarten students a chance to learn about how school works before actually starting school. SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, Wellness on Wheels has been postponed to Thursday from 4-6 pm at Brookside Church, 2013 Elm St. This FREE pop-up resource fair features fun activities, the Bookmobile, raffles and giveaways, and helpful information for families. All summer long, anyone 18 and younger can get free meals through the Summer Food Service Program, provided by Southern New Hampshire Services.
