MANCHESTER – Seven Manchester School District teachers are among those in consideration for 2026 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year.
The Teacher of the Year program, which is operated by the state Department of Education, is a multi-step process that begins with nominations early each year. Educators who are nominated must accept the nomination and complete an application in order to be considered. Out of the 29 nominees statewide who completed that step, 7 serve in District schools.
“It is thrilling to see so many of our District educators on this list once again this year,” said Superintendent Jennifer Chmiel. “Having such strong representation is a powerful reminder of the talent and dedication of our educators. We wish them all the best of luck as they move on in this process – we’re cheering for you!”
Manchester’s nominees for 2026 Teacher of the Year include:
Elizabeth Boucher, Gossler Park Elementary School
Sharon DeVincent, Jewett Street School
Karla Hoggard, Weston Elementary School
Morgan Lamb, Central High School
Therese Lemerise, the Middle School at Parkside
Michelle McGee, Manchester School of Technology
Caylee Rivera, McLaughlin Middle School
