To the parents/guardians of fifth grade students who will attend Hillside Middle School next year:
On behalf of the staff, I would like to welcome you to Hillside Middle School. We have an
experienced and caring sixth grade staff that will assist you in making your child’s transition to middle school as smooth as possible. We are committed to the improvement of each child’s achievement. We will be asking for your support in these important efforts.
As an important part of the transition to sixth grade, Hillside will host an informational session for parents and guardians on Thursday, May 4th at 6:30 p.m. This will take place in the gymnasium. The program will include an overview of the school, a chance to ask questions and a tour of the building.
We at Hillside look forward to meeting the students and families of our incoming sixth graders.
These students will also have the opportunity to visit Hillside for orientation sessions on the following days:
1) Monday, May 1 @ 9:00 a.m.: Webster. Bus will pick up students at 8:45 a.m.
2) Tuesday, May 2 @ 9:00 a.m.: Smyth. Students will walk
3) Wednesday, May 3 @ 9:00 a.m.: Wilson. Bus will pick up students at 8:45 a.m.
4) Thursday, May 4 @ 9:00 a.m.: McDonough. Students will walk.
